If you need medical care

Notify the GSOC

If you or anyone in your household has been exposed to COVID-19, or if you are showing signs of illness consistent with COVID-19 symptoms, please report your circumstances to the Global Safety & Security Operations Center (GSOC) at +1 408-536-4444 or security@adobe.com. Also inform your manager if you are unable to work. You do not need to share any detailed health information with your manager or others aside from the GSOC.

Call before going for care

Call your healthcare provider prior to going to a facility or making an appointment. Calling ahead will help you get the most appropriate care and take precautions to protect others.

If you need a flexible work schedule

We know some of you may need additional flexibility. Flexible schedule options are available to help you take care of yourself and your family while you continue to be productive and meet your work commitments. The options vary from being offline for certain hours during the day, an occasional reduced-hour work schedule or a formal change to part-time status. Please review the flexibility options on the COVID-19 section on Inside Adobe and discuss your flexibility needs with your manager.

Employee FAQs

What does a flexible working arrangement mean for me?

It means you can request to adjust your work hours based on your personal needs. We are temporarily relaxing our core working hours of 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. so you and your manager can find the optimal work arrangement.

Do I need to get approval from my manager for the flexible working arrangement?

Yes, please discuss your specific needs with your manager before you adjust your working hours.

What options do I have under this flexible working arrangement?

You can choose to adjust your work hours to start/end your day earlier or later, be offline for select hours during the day to assist with child care, distance learning or elder care or have an occasional reduced-hour work week (for full-time employees). Please review the flexible schedule options for more details.

Do I still need to track my time if I have applied for the flexible schedule?

Yes, you still need to track the hours you worked and submit your timecard for approval once a month.

How does the flexible working arrangement impact the overtime allowance and holiday allowance?

If you are an individual contributor and work more than 55 hours of overtime per month or work on a holiday/weekend, you will continue to receive the overtime allowance or holiday allowance. However, please make sure you obtain your manager’s written approval before working any overtime or before any work is performed on a holiday/weekend. The spirit of this flexible arrangement is to enable employees to feel more supported in helping balance their work and personal commitments.

How does the flexible working arrangement impact the midnight allowance?

If you work between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., you will continue to receive the midnight allowance. However, please make sure you obtain your manager’s written approval before any midnight work is performed. You should avoid working during these hours unless it is absolutely necessary.

I am an agency worker. Can I request to adjust my working schedule?

The flexible working arrangement only applies to Adobe employees. If you see a need to adjust your work hours because of the COVID-19 pandemic, please work with your contact person at Adobe and your employing agency company.

Manager FAQs

What do I need to do if my direct reports ask for a flexible working arrangement?

How does the flexible working arrangement impact the overtime allowance and  holiday allowance?

If your direct report is an individual contributor and works more than 55 hours per month or works on a holiday/weekend, they will continue to receive the overtime allowance or holiday allowance.

However, please make sure your direct report obtains your written approval before working any overtime or before any work is performed on a holiday/weekend. The spirit of this flexible arrangement is to enable employees to feel more supported in helping balance their work and personal commitments. Keep in mind that all overtime allowances and all holiday allowances are charged to your cost centre.

How does the flexible working arrangement impact the midnight allowance?

If your direct report works between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., they will continue to receive the midnight allowance. What should I do if an agency worker requests to adjust their working schedule?

If you are the manager of an agency worker and they ask for a flexible working schedule, please discuss the request with the employing agency company to understand if there are any legal implications. These flexible schedule options only apply to Adobe employees.
