PTO & paid holidays

Personal Time Off (PTO)

You earn PTO days each year, based on how long you’ve been with Adobe. Please make arrangements with your manager before taking time off.

How much you earn

Annual leave accrual begins immediately upon starting work and is accrued by a set amount each month. How much full-time employees accrue varies by years of service as follows:

  • Years 1 and 2: 25 days
  • Years 3 and 4: 28 days
  • Years 5 and up: 30 days

You can carry over 5 days into the next year with your manager’s approval, but you need to use them by March 31. If you leave Adobe, any PTO you have at that time will be paid out to you.

The Company reserves the right to request that you take three days of your holiday entitlement between Christmas and New Year.

Submit your PTO through Workday. You can take time off in full-day (7 hours) increments.

Company break periods

Adobe takes one company-wide break each winter. For 2019, the Winter Break dates are December 24–December 31 (England) or December 25–31 (Scotland).

You do not need to reserve PTO for use during the Winter Break.
