Commuter benefits

Adobe can help you save on your commute if you’d like to bike to work or travel via public transportation. As a reminder, the commute reimbursement benefit should be used when attendance at the Adobe office is necessary, including all hands meetings, office events, team meetings, etc. This programme benefit is not intended for year-round personal use.

Cycle to Work programme

The Cycle to Work programme has been developed to promote healthier journeys to work and reduce environmental pollution. The programme allows you to lease a JobRad bike with monthly instalments automatically deducted from your gross salary over 36 months.

Additionally, only 0.25% of the gross list price of a company bike is taxed as a payment in kind. View this example calculation for details.

Cycle to work FAQs

What happens if I leave Adobe?

If you leave Adobe before the 36-month period ends, choose which option you would like, and email erc@adobe.com with your choice:

  • Option 1: Purchase the bike from JobRad (Das Angebot soll dem JobRadler unterbreitet).
  • Option 2: Return the bike to JobRad (Rückgabe des Rads).

What does the status of my order application mean in the myJobRad portal?

  • Draft: You have started entering the order request and saved a draft. You can access and change this at any time.
  • Aborted: Your application was aborted due to an error—either by you, by our order department, or by the person responsible for JobRad in your company. To correct the error, place a new order request.
  • Document required: Something is missing—possibly the offer from the specialist dealer or your approval of the transfer agreement. Fill in what’s missing, then click Complete Application.
  • Awaiting your confirmation: Your request is complete. Now click Complete Application. Important: You must select Complete Application to apply and order your JobRad!
  • Awaiting approval: Your application is being checked by Adobe’s JobRad representative. The application will only be forwarded to our order team after it has been approved. Please be patient.
  • Approved: Congratulations, the agent has approved the application! Now we will check your application at JobRad. Please allow up to 10 business days for the team to review and approve your application.
  • Ordered: JobRad has ordered your bike. You and your retailer will shortly receive a confirmation email. Please arrange a pick-up date with your specialist retailer.
  • Handed over: You have picked up your JobRad from the specialist retailer and confirmed the takeover. Have fun with it!
  • Active: The leasing company has also given the go-ahead and activated the leasing contract. There is nothing left to do apart from (job) cycling.

Public transport reimbursement

The commute reimbursement programme is designed to help employees who take public transport with the cost of monthly or annual passes. Receive up to 50% of your transport costs, tax-free. Note that individual tickets are not eligible to be reimbursed.

Depending on where you are based, there are two types of commute reimbursement arrangements.

Adobe Germany employees, including remote employees (except employees on Hamburg ASEG entity)

Adobe reimburses employees 50% of ticket costs through payroll, once all receipts have been submitted and the claim is fully approved. Depending on submission and approval dates, reimbursements will be issued in accordance with normal pay periods and timelines for Germany.

Eligibility

All regular and remote Germany employees (excluding Hamburg on ASEG entity employees) and Adobe-paid temps are eligible. You may not claim reimbursement for public transport if you currently have the Company car benefit.

How to enrol

Visit My Adobe Benefits to file a claim for reimbursement. You will be required to provide proof of purchase that clearly shows the amount paid and the payee’s details.

  1. Go to Benefits Selection > Annual Commute Ticket or Monthly Commute Ticket.
  2. Click Select > Next > Add to cart.
  3. Click Checkout > Confirm selection.
