Adobe provides paid time off (PTO) so that you can relax and recharge or attend to personal needs. Please make arrangements with your manager before taking time off. Note that the holiday year runs from January 1 to December 31.
Annual leave
How much you earn
Annual leave accrual begins immediately upon starting work and is accrued by a set amount each month. The annual leave entitlement for full-time employees is 20 days per calendar year.
New hires: You’ll be able to start using your PTO days after six months of continuous service.
Taking time off
Adobe encourages you to use your full annual leave each year to rest and rejuvenate.
Discuss and agree on your time off with your manager. Once you have manager approval, enter your PTO in Workday by the first day you are absent from work. Follow these step-by-step instructions. (You must be on the network to view this page.)
Unused PTO days
In some circumstances you can carry over unused PTO days into the following year with manager approval, and you must use them within 18 months. If you do not use them within 18 months, your manager and the Employee Resource Center (ERC) can schedule PTO days for you.
Any PTO days you carried over from the prior year will be visible in Workday beginning January 1. When you enter your PTO in Workday, the PTO you carried over will be used first. As you enter time off, the value under the carryover balance column in Workday will decrease.
Your manager will receive a notification when you submit PTO in Workday but will not be requested to approve it.
If you leave Adobe, any PTO you have available as of your termination date will be paid to you.
Plan your summer fun
Adobe encourages employees to take one longer break during the summer—plan to take 10 PTO days between June and August each year.
