Adobe provides paid time off (PTO) so you can relax and recharge or attend to personal needs. Please make arrangements with your manager before taking time off. Note that the holiday year runs from 1 January to 31 December.
Annual leave
How much you earn
Annual leave accrual begins immediately upon starting work and is accrued by a set amount each month. Note that the holiday year runs from 1 January to 31 December. The amount of time a full-time employee accrues varies by years of service as follows:
- From start of employment to 3rd calendar year: 25 days
- From 3rd full calendar year to 5th year: 28 days
- After 5 years in the company: 30 days
Annual leave entitlement for part-time employees is based on how many days per week you work compared to a full-time employee and years of service. If you are working part-time, your paid time off is prorated to the number of days you work per week, not to the number of hours. To calculate your annual leave, multiply the number of days you work by the relevant yearly accrual based on your years of service and divide it by 5 (the number of days in a full time week).
Example 1: you work 3 days/week and you are in your 1st calendar year with Adobe. Calculation: 3x25/5 = 15 days.
Example 2: you work 4 days/week and you are in your 3rd calendar year with Adobe. Calculation: 4x28/5 = 22 days.
Taking time off
Adobe encourages you to use your full annual leave each year to rest and rejuvenate. In some circumstances, you may carry over up to five unused days to be used by 31 March of the following year, with manager approval. Days not used by 31 March of the following year will be forfeited.
If you leave Adobe, any PTO you have available based on your termination date will be paid to you.
Discuss and agree on your time off with your manager. Once you have manager approval, enter your PTO in Workday by the first day you are absent from work. Follow these step-by-step instructions . (You must be on the network to view this page.)
Your manager will receive a notification when you submit PTO in Workday, but will not be requested to approve. Please notify your manager of your PTO prior to submission.
