Sick & carer leave

Adobe provides up to 14 sick days each year so you can take care of yourself, a family member or a household member. Family members include:

  • Spouse
  • Domestic partner
  • Children and grandchildren
  • Parents and grandparents
  • Siblings
  • In-laws

A household member is anyone who lives in your house.

Schedule your leave in advance with your manager, then submit your request through Workday.

If you are sick, make sure to speak to your manager if you can’t come into work. Your manager may ask you to provide a doctor’s certificate. If you are away from work for five consecutive days or more, you must provide a doctor’s certificate as a supporting document in Workday.

If you need to take sick time, but don't have any available, you may borrow from your annual leave balance.

Welcome back program

The Welcome Back program offers resources to employees and managers, to facilitate a seamless transition back to work. The program is available to APAC employees returning from an extended leave of absence of more than three calendar months (90 days).
