Medical
Adobe provides a Base Private Medical Insurance plan as well as an Optional Medical Insurance plan, which offers increased coverage for hospitalisation and vision benefits. Visit the Health and wellbeing page for details.
When you can enrol
When you first join Adobe, you can choose the medical plan that you like and enrol yourself and your dependants.
If you have dependants to cover, note that they are not automatically enrolled in the medical plan. Once you enrol yourself, you can add dependants to your medical selection. See steps to enrol below.
Steps to enrol
- Go to My Adobe Benefits > Benefits Selection.
- Select Medical Insurance (Base) (the Optional Medical Insurance will only become available for you to select after you enrol in the Base Medical plan).
- Select the cover you want, and provide dependant details if you enrol others in the plan.
- Select Add to Cart > Checkout > Confirm Selection.
Adding a named dependant(s) to the medical plan
- Review or add to your list of named dependants by selecting Dependants from the Quick Links drop-down menu.
- From the portal home page, select Benefits Selection > Private Medical Plan > View > Select Level of Cover > Add Dependant.
You will receive an email confirmation of your choices. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please log back in to My Adobe Benefits to ensure that there are no outstanding tasks to complete.
When cover begins
Your medical insurance will become effective on the first of the month following enrolment or plan upgrade.
Changing your medical enrolment
During a life event or open enrolment window, you may add a new dependant (for example, a new spouse, a new baby, or adopted child) to your medical and dental insurance within 30 days of the date of the marriage, birth, or adoption.
You may also opt out of or in to the medical plan and add any previously eligible but uncovered dependants. If you miss this enrolment window, you’ll have to wait until the next open enrolment period.
Pension plan
Adobe offers a defined contribution (DC) pension plan (or DC article 83 pension plan) for all regular employees. Six months from your date of hire, you will be set up automatically in the plan.
The mandatory plan contributions are shared between you and Adobe. Contributions are based on your base salary plus any variable compensation you receive.
Life and disability insurance
Life and disability insurance (prévoyance) provides financial protection for you and your family in the event of death or disability. It’s available for all employees ages 16 to 64 and is provided by Adobe through Gan.
All employees, Adobe-paid temporary employees, and interns ages 16 to 64 are automatically enrolled in cover on the date of hire.
Cost of cover
Depending on your salary level, you may have to pay a portion of the premium via salary deduction.
Your beneficiary
Your beneficiary is automatically your legal heir(s), but you may choose a different beneficiary by completing the Beneficiary Nomination Form, available on Inside Adobe. See the life and disability insurance page for details.
Business travel
All regular, Adobe-paid temps and interns are automatically enrolled in the plan on the date of hire. Your membership in the plan will cease on your 65th birthday or if you leave Adobe, whichever event occurs first.
Employee stock purchase plan
You may enrol in the employee stock purchase plan at any time during the year for the next available offering period.
