Life and disability insurance (prévoyance) provides financial protection for you and your family in the event of death or disability, including benefits for education for eligible surviving children.
Cover is available for all employees ages 16 to 64 and is provided by Adobe through Gan. For details, please see the life and disability insurance overview [PDF] (French).
Who’s eligible?
Eligible employees are automatically enrolled on the date of hire, provided they are actively at work. If you are not actively at work, cover will commence from the day you return to full-time active employment.

The plan pays a benefit of 400% of the employee’s annual gross salary up to social security slice C in the event of death or total and permanent disability. This applies to an employee who is single, divorced, or widowed with or without one dependent child, or married or PACS with or without one dependent child.

An additional 100% of the employee’s annual gross salary up to social security slice C is applicable in the event of death due to accident.
Short- and long-term disability

A waiting period of 60 days applies before the plan pays a daily indemnity benefit that includes social security indemnities and payments made by Adobe for days 60 through 90. The benefit is equal to 100% of the employee’s annual gross salary up to social security slice C.
What is the cost of this benefit?
Depending on your salary level, you may have to pay a portion of the premium via salary deduction, as follows:

How do I select a beneficiary?
To select a beneficiary that is different from your legal heirs, complete the Beneficiary Nomination Form [PDF] (you must be on the network to access), and send it directly to Gan using the contact details included on the form. You can also change your beneficiary at any time while you are employed by Adobe.
