Paid sick leave is provided to all Adobe employees in alignment with local laws.
During the employment probationary period, Adobe will pay statutory sick leave if the employee is eligible. The probationary period is typically up to six months but can be extended up to 12 months. After successful completion of the probationary period, supplementary Company-paid sick leave benefit (sick time pay) is paid on a discretionary basis.
Sick time pay
Paid sick leave is provided to all Adobe employees in alignment with local laws. Adobe provides the statutory entitlement:
- For employees with more than one year of seniority: 100% of base salary for the first 90 days of continuous absence, followed by prévoyance cover up to 100% of salary, subject to insurance claim approval.
- For employees with less than one year of seniority: Statutory sick pay is provided by the caisse primaire d’assurance maladie (CPAM).
Visit this website for details of statutory sick pay and Convention Collective Syntec.
Taking sick time off
To take time off due to an illness, please contact your manager as soon as possible to notify them that you are sick and when you hope to return to work. You must repeat this every morning if your illness continues. If your absence is pre-planned and already approved (e.g., scheduled surgery), you do not need to contact your manager.
To be covered and reimbursed by social security, please send the medical certificate (arrêt de travail) issued by your doctor to your caisse primaire d’assurance maladie (CPAM) within 48 hours after the start of your sick leave, and provide a soft copy to the Support Centre by submitting a request, reconfirming the dates of your sick leave.
Please send the hard copy by regular mail to the ERC office in Adobe France locations by the end of the month.
Sick time is not an accrued benefit and will not be paid out if it’s not used. There is no impact to your benefits while you are on sick leave. If you can access Workday, please mark the days you are sick (see instructions).
