Healthcare plan FAQs

When can I start using my insurance?

Your insurance will be effective from the first day of the month following your selection of the benefit.

What is lifetime community rating?

Lifetime community rating (LCR) was signed into law by the Minister for Health to support sustainability and competitiveness in the health insurance market. LCR states that you must enter the health insurance market by the age of 34 to avoid paying higher costs. That is, if you take out private health insurance earlier in life and retain it, you will pay lower premiums compared to someone who joins when they are over 34. For details, review this document.

How do I find my Laya health membership number for myself or my dependants?

After you submit your enrolment request on My Adobe Benefits, Laya will email your membership pack, including your membership number and instructions to set up the Laya app. Through the Laya app, you will be able to access your digital membership card, submit and track everyday medical expense claims you have at any time during the year, and find useful contact numbers at a glance.

What if my dependant turns 25 during the policy year?

Your dependant will remain on cover until the end of the policy year, that is, 31 January.

Can I exchange this benefit for cash?

No, you cannot receive payment in lieu of this benefit.

What happens if I leave Adobe?

If an employee leaves, the coverage will cease on the day of termination. However, you can claim for medical services that were provided prior to your termination date. You will be contacted by Laya to see if you would like to continue with cover as an individual.
