Military Leave

You’ll be granted leave if you are called for active duty or need to satisfy annual reserve training for any of the uniformed services—Canadian Army, Navy Communication or Air Reserve. Give Adobe reasonable advanced notice of your need for leave, request your leave via Workday and provide the appropriate documentation.

Your pay will continue at 100% (minus any military pay you’re eligible to receive) for the first 6 months. Your health benefits will continue for the first 12 months. There are some limits to coverage—refer to the Canada Life Handbook [PDF] for details.

When you’re ready to come back to work, notify your manager. There are a few requirements for when you return:

  • If you serve 1 to 30 days, you must report to work at Adobe on your next regularly scheduled workday
  • For periods of military service between 31 and 180 days, a reasonable period is 14 days
  • For periods of service that exceed 180 days, a reasonable period is up to 90 days following completion of service
